This morning, Carol was trying to switch her account to an older cell phone with a more useful keyboard. The conversion is not yet successful but the conversation led her to comment, "You're not a consumer!" She's right. I buy what I need. I'm not here to serve the corporations. - May 22, 2011

As I see it, much of North America's prevailing conventional wisdom is not only unwise, but actually injurious to society as a whole and to its individual members.

In my mind, the media should present truthful facts so that readers can learn. They've become, in many cases, purveyors of ideology motivated, as I see it, by money.

The controversy over painting a child's toenails pink is more an indication of the lack of moral fibre among the chattering media class than anything else.
